Do you know Mouettes Genevoises? These are small boats travelling across what we call le petit lac (the small lake) or la rade (the harbour). Red and yellow, they can pass under the bridges and can take about 30 persons on board. Even the smallest journey using the M1 from place du Molard to Pâquis – Rotonde du Mont-Blanc will provide you with an outstanding view from Geneva and the legendary Jet d’eau.
The wind was up as from the beginning of the day, works on the lake (lake water intake filter upgrade – see platform at the background) had to be eventually cancelled due to bad weather conditions. One of the building of the portfolio I am managing as part of my facility manager function is relying on lake water to get energy through heat pumps.
